SKF wheel bearing end face movement detection steps: St […]
SKF wheel bearing end face movement detection steps:
Step 1. Make sure that the brake drum and wheel hub fasteners have been tightened according to the manufacturer's specifications.
Step 2. Attach a dial indicator and attach the magnetic base to the bottom of the wheel hub or brake drum.
Step 3. Adjust the dial indicator so that its plunger or pointer is against the end surface of the spindle, and its motion track can be basically parallel to the spindle axis (Note: aluminum hub, attach a dial indicator and make it a magnetic base Attached to the bottom of the brake drum).
Step 4. Rotate the measuring end face of the dial indicator to make the zero scale exactly align with the dial pointer to complete the zero calibration. For the digital dial indicator, directly press the "zero out" button.
Step 5. Hold the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions of the hub unit, swing its bearing seat at the same time, and read the maximum movement value of the bearing end face (Note: If the movement exceeds the specification, please refer to the relevant SKF technical literature to readjust Program).
SKF wheel bearing installation:
When installing SKF hub unit parts, ensure the concentricity between the inner hole of the hub and the center of the shaft. The use of appropriate auxiliary mounting brackets can effectively avoid scratches and damage to the spindle, threads and seals during the installation process.
Install the inner ring assembly of the outer bearing and the adjusting nut. Tighten the nut until it is completely against the bearing inner ring assembly. Pneumatic tools cannot be used in the above steps. Do not remove the auxiliary mounting bracket before the center nut is fully tightened, otherwise the seals may be damaged, resulting in lubricating oil leakage.
Remove the auxiliary mounting bracket and ensure that the bearing is correctly installed in the hub. Check whether the bearing can rotate freely. Never allow direct contact between the hub and the seal.
Never try to assemble the hub manually. Regardless of whether the wheel hub is covered with tires, do not install it without the aid of mechanical tools.
