The use of bearings during use is our first choice for bearing maintenance work, and then regular cleaning and lubrication of bearings is an inevitable step for bearing maintenance. Bearings cannot be used again. According to the understanding, the use matters of the bearing, the cleaning steps and the defects of the bearing are analyzed, so that the bearing cannot be used again.


Bearing use precautions:
Rolling bearings are precision components, and their use must be handled with corresponding care. No matter how high-performance bearings are used, if used incorrectly, the expected high performance will not be obtained. The precautions for the use of bearings are as follows:

1. Keep the bearing and its surrounding environment clean
Even tiny dust, invisible to the naked eye, entering the bearing will increase bearing wear, vibration and noise. Bearings and their surrounding accessories should be kept clean, especially dust and dirt, tools and the environment must also be kept clean.

2. Precautions when using and installing
Strong stamping is not allowed, the bearing is not allowed to be hit directly with a hammer, and pressure is not allowed to be transmitted through the rolling elements.

3. Use appropriate and accurate installation tools
Use special tools whenever possible, and try to avoid things like cloth and short fibers.

4. Prevent bearing corrosion
When holding the bearing directly by hand, fully wash off the sweat on the hands, and apply high-quality mineral oil before operating, especially in the rainy season and summer, pay special attention to rust prevention. However, under certain special operating conditions, bearings can achieve longer life than traditional calculations, especially under light loads. These special operating conditions are when the rolling surfaces are effectively divided by a lubricating film and limit contamination that can cause surface damage. In fact, under ideal conditions, so-called permanent bearing life is possible.



Bearing cleaning:
1. Before cleaning the bearing, remove the bearing for maintenance, first record the appearance of the bearing, confirm the residual amount of lubricant, and then wash the bearing after sampling the lubricant for inspection.

2. As a cleaning agent, gasoline and kerosene are commonly used. The cleaning of the dismantled bearing is divided into coarse cleaning and fine cleaning, which are placed in the container respectively, and first placed at the bottom of the metal mesh pad, so that the bearing does not directly contact the stolen goods of the container.

3. During rough cleaning, if the bearing is rotated with stolen goods, it will damage the rolling surface of the bearing, so you should pay attention.

4. In the rough cleaning oil, use a brush to remove the grease and sticky substances. After it is roughly clean, transfer to the fine cleaning.

5. Fine cleaning is to carefully clean the bearing while rotating in the cleaning oil. In addition, the cleaning oil should always be kept clean.


Bearings with the following defects can no longer be used:
1. There are cracks or gaps on any of the inner ring, outer ring, rolling body and cage;
2. Any one of the ferrule and rolling element is broken;
3. The raceway surface, rib, and rolling element have significant damage;
4. The cage is significantly worn, or the rivets are significantly loosened;
5. There is rust and damage on the raceway surface and rolling elements;
6. The raceway surface and rolling elements have serious indentations and dents;
7. There is obvious creep on the inner surface of the inner ring and the outer surface of the outer ring;
8. The discoloration caused by heat is obvious;
9. The bearing sealed with grease, the seal ring or the dust cover is obviously damaged.
